i had surgery two weeks ago to remove my wisdom teeth and it went really well. i've had surgeries in the past so i reacted well with anesthesia to the point i was coherent but still a bit loopy and drowsy from the drugs they gave me. i remember they told me to count down from ten (classic!) and for some reason i counted up from one lol and then i was out like a light.Â
unfortunately half my mouth and tongue are still numb which makes chewing, talking, and tasting harder to manage. i also can't feel temperatures of hot foods very well either so i kinda have to test how hot it is with my lips before i accidentally burn my mouth. the institute that performed the surgery said it was totally normal and the numbness should abate in a few weeks. hopefully it's gone before classes start because i don't want to lisp around new classmates!
