Short Rant about Oscar Wilde stories

This isn't a rant about Oscar Wilde as an author, I think he's quite a great writer and he's definitely worth his renown reputation, I just really wanna talk about how his characters piss me the fuck off. I've been trying to read his short stories because a friend of mine is into classical literature and recommended me Oscar Wilde, and his stories are so fucking depressing. But in an infuriating way. I understand the stories have morals and they comment on the selfishness and negative side of human nature, but gosh this characters are annoying. I just read "The Devote Friend" and the Miller is such a bitch thinking that he is entitled to all of little Hans' work just he "promised" to give him a his broken ass wheelbarrow and didn't even let him borrow his lamp when he sent little Hans out in a rainstorm to fetch the doctor because of the fact that his son got hurt. And that little bitch still had the audacity to call himself his best friend at little Hans' funeral after he died in the storm. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON EVERYONE THINKING THAT THE MILLER WAS ACTUALLY A GREAT FRIEND TO LITTLE HANS. "its easy to act well but harder to talk wall, so its more important-" SHUT THE FUCK UP. And that fucking water-rat literally has nothing going on in his dumb little head, no wonder he's all alone. I HATE THEM ALL. And don't get me started on "The Nightingale and the Rose." THE BOY AND THE GIRL AND BURN IN HELL. That's all I really wanna say, but other than that, I'm still gonna read Oscar Wilde stories. I just need to get ready to be mad. I definitely recommend the stories to anyone who's interested.
