💯 Sick of the Outrage Machine

I’ve kept my mouth shut for way too long, watching people on the internet turn a literal retro social site into a goddamn holy war. But staying quiet makes me feel like a bystander. And honestly? I'm done watching keyboard warriors tear down something good just because they need a new target for their daily internet outrage.

So here is my unfiltered two cents.

The AI Outrage Is a Joke

Everyone is losing their minds, screaming "AI slop" and throwing tantrums over how FriendRewind was coded. Whether that rumor is true or false? I literally do not care.

Let’s be real here: I’m no blind cheerleader for AI. But acting like it's the ultimate evil while throwing a cyber-temper-tantrum isn't going to push it back into a box. AI is a tool, people use it to assist with things, and this endless internet purity culture is exhausting. Can we stop acting like using a modern tool to build a retro site is a crime against humanity? Who gives a shit?

Crossing the Line

What makes this whole toxic hate mob even more disgusting is that it hasn't just stayed online as petty code arguments. People have actually stooped low enough to dox Def3ct's son over this stupid drama, dragging a kid into it and questioning parenting skills like it's anyone's damn business.

Are y'all even hearing yourselves? We are talking about a website where people customise profiles and edit CSS layouts. When internet losers start leaking families and attacking children because they’re mad about a web project, you’ve lost the plot entirely. That isn't accountability or "calling people out," it's unhinged harassment.

Why FriendRewind Actually Matters

At the end of the day, the noise doesn't matter because the platform speaks for itself.

I fucking love FriendRewind. It’s hands-down the best retro MySpace alternative out there. It actually brings back that old-school internet freedom where you can customise your profile, make it your own, and hang out without an algorithm shoving garbage down your throat.

Even better? The creator is one of my close friends.

I’m not saying that just because we're close; I’m saying it because he actually listens. He cares about the people using the site, he cares about the community, and he’s a genuinely good, solid human being. He’s putting in the actual work for us, and while he can’t make the whole world happy, he shows up.
