~ soft-launch day at the coffee shop~ daily blog

Today was the soft opening of the coffee shop that I just started working at!! I got there around 5:50 in the morning while running on no sleep because I was way too nervous to even go to bed the night before. But, there was literally zero reason for me to be so worried, it was honestly super fun! (and I can't remember the last time that I had a fun first day) My manager/owner of the coffee shop is only a few years older than me, (I'm 21 for context) and we talked about twilight, her past jobs, and a mutual acquaintance! Basically- she worked for my ex-bestie for about a month and even though she doesn't know the extent of the beef, she thought it was funny that I knew them.  Since it was only a soft opening, and only very few knew we would be open today, it was a steady paced day. 

The best part to be honest was that making all the drinks just felt like I was playing a video game, like a roblox coffee shop simulator. I was only there for four hours, but it went by super fast! The only issue happened when I was making someones matcha and I got the powder/water mixture onto my sweater and that shit STAINS. 

Other than that though,  it was an easy breezy day and I'm super excited for tomorrow! I work every day for the next three days so naturally I'm trying to plan my outfits out already. 

This morning I realized just how much I will need when the colder months come around. I think I only own light colored jeans and springy tops, and even though a few of the jeans will work just fine, I can't be wearing just a tank top in the winter.
