some things you do for money, and some you do for love, love, love

i had my first interview in the industry my dream job is a part of today.  i truly never thought i would go into this field.  to me it was the most unrealistic, sunshine and rainbows career field out there, but i decided im too young to completely give up on my passion.  i spent almost all of high school working with the early childhood education classrooms at my school, as well as working in mentor programs (even when the grade level wasn't ideal..  i loved my students but 4th grade language arts was not my thing).  i found a daycare and preschool + prekindergarten facility in my town that would pay for me to go to school part time for early childhood education while working there.  the one thing that was keeping me from going into this field was paying for school and going into a ton of debt that i wouldnt be able to pay back with my teacher salary.

im so scared that i wont get the position, and i dont get to find out about it until FRIDAY.  the director said she had one more interview, and she didn't sound super enthusiastic about it.  i think she liked me, and she even went as far as to give me a tour of the whole center and introduce me to the teachers there.  she seemed impressed with the amount of normal job experience i have at 18, as well as my experiences in childcare.

i'll make sure to post on friday about the results, wish me luck!
