Stains in clothes :((

This is probably basic knowledge, but soap is the KEY to getting stains out. But not just any kind of soap. . SHAMPOO!! And or dawn soap, but that’s not the point. Since shampoo is meant to strip the oils out of your hair, I always thought that the same rule could apply to stains in clothes. My mom taught me the shampoo trick and it changed my life forever. I didn’t even know shampoo could be a great tool for stains in clothes. Now, if by chance I stain my clothes and I have no shampoo around me, foamy soap always does the trick ! I remember I spilt oil on my favorite pairs of sweatpants at school, and the only thing I could use was soap. Usually at public bathrooms, they have the really foamy soap, so I just kept rubbing the soap in the stain, and it actually started working! The only thing about my “trick” is that I’m not supposed to put water on the stain after I put the foamy soap on it. I have to let it sit, and then it just disappears. (With shampoo it’s different, I use soap and water). This is most likely common knowledge, but I just love using shampoo for stains. 

PS. This is PROBABLY not recommended. I dunno, sometimes the soap alters the texture.
