I'm so sick off all this hate that straight edge people have been getting (especially in my scene) like yes don't get me wrong there can be some shitty people out there but I mean come on, that's almost everybody
like I hate how every one who's straight edge gets painted as somebody who has a "superior" mindset or they think that they're better than everyone else like bro... I've met some amazing, sweet, very nice people who happen to be straight edge
and as some who is straight edge I totally understand why people have that superiority mindset, it could be due to their environment or upbringing but I completely get it
I'm not here to justify drug/alcohol use because I think that its fucking stupid that the entire world is so okay with people drinking and smoking like the fact that cigarettes are so accessible and there liquor store on every street is not okay at all I think that all substances should be completely abolished because peoples lives are being ruined every single day and they are losing control of themselves over a drink or smoke
words cannot describe how much I HATE drugs and alcohol like its ridiculous that some people feel the need to get fucked up just to go out and have a good time, like clearly you're just not around the right people if you HAVE to get high or drunk to go have fun
the whole concept of pregaming is ridiculous, actually the whole concept of alcohol is fucking dumb because what are you even gaining from it at the end of the day? like yes you're getting drunk but if you even dare pass that sweet spot you just start to feel like shit and you start pissing and throwing up everywhere and then whoever is with you has to take care of you like you're some baby because you had a little bit too much to drink

drugs and alcohol are stupid, it doesn't make you look cool not even in the slightest, you're actively ruining your body and so what if you're not happy with yourself? we all die eventually there's no need to rush it if its gonna happen. don't be a pussy, but the bottle down, put the bag down, put the lighter down

(also like if I see you smoking or drinking I'm not gonna run up and sock you in the face but some of you definitly deserve it)

Yes as someone who does have substance abuse issues I completely agree with you. The way it's been normalized now has genuinely made irreversible damage to so many communities groups and people and the fact it's seen as "uncool" to not partake in it is genuinely insane to me. It should be the opposite being straight edge should be the normalization not the other way around.

Ugh, yes I totally agree! In my opinion people who do drugs and alcohol are losers. Especially when they are over their teenage years and still continue to do the same things as when they were younger. Wasn't cool then, isn't cool later. A lot of people also notice when they stop doing those things their friends magically disappear lol. Kudos to you 👏
