This was a poem I wrote last year I found it in my book, I was really sad and felt alone its interesting to look back on it.
The meaning behind the poem is how people always crave something they don't have and when they do get it they take it for granted, this comes in many forms than weather. People, objects and other things in life. People only care when they lose it, instead of caring about its presence with them, the poem isn't the best but it wasn't really planned I just felt the need to write it.
I feel the soft breeze of a summer's day,
The birds chirp as they call out for each other,
Look at the flowers full of life and colour,
Yet you always forget the sweetness, yearning for something different,
One the light has left,
You beg for the summer sweetness again,
The fresh tulips beckoning you to smell,
blossoming of new beginnings
The butterflies fluttering with no thought in the world,
But yet it comes to an end, like everything does,
As you call out for that summer again like the birds in the trees,
You get no response
