surviving school

im so pissed rn. last tuesday i had to take a 3 hour long psat which made me miss my 2nd period class. i knew that i would have some missing work, but this is just ridiculous. why is there 7 different assignments 3 being at least 8 minute videos with questions one them and then the other four being some random google doc with like 50 questions we have to fill out! even though this was due today its still a heavy workload and i refuse to do other classes work on a day i dont have their class because i also have other homework and school assignments to do! the two worst parts about this is 1. the teacher wasn't even there on the day she assigned all these assignments & 2. i talked to her about giving me an extension in class and after school through email (i had an uneXpected dentist appointment which happened to be at the same time she would close them) and she didn't even respond back to me. even every other day im staying up after hours to finish school work. as a student i do expect to have homework, but how am i supposed to spend my youth if these old hags keep giving out so much damn work like we dont have other classes and lives outside of school? i should be able to come home after school and wind down and still have time to study/do homework and get more than 5 hours of sleep. i dont think 5 hours of sleep everyday is enough for a 16 year old. stop with all this damn work! i shouldn't have to fight sleep to survive school and keep my grades right.
