Teased hair

I actually always wondered how do alt ppl make their hair so big and spiky and never thought of teasing it. I remember when i first tried it and it came out hilarious. I used so much hairspray but there was smth i didnt do correct before or idk but it NEVER looked how i wanted it to. A couple of days ago i tried again and i succeed!! I was so happy that it stayed big and puffy all day xD idk what did i do different but imma try it more, Im just scared that my hair will get damaged if I make it a habit but whatever i think its just made up :p
