I actually always wondered how do alt ppl make their hair so big and spiky and never thought of teasing it. I remember when i first tried it and it came out hilarious. I used so much hairspray but there was smth i didnt do correct before or idk but it NEVER looked how i wanted it to. A couple of days ago i tried again and i succeed!! I was so happy that it stayed big and puffy all day xD idk what did i do different but imma try it more, Im just scared that my hair will get damaged if I make it a habit but whatever i think its just made up :p

Omg congrats on getting it right!! :D There’s honestly such a satisfying feeling when your hair finally does what you wanted after trying so many times. Big and spiky alt hair looks so cool, but I totally get why you’d worry about damage.
It’s not completely made up though, teasing and using lots of hairspray can cause some stress on your hair if you do it very often, especially if you’re being rough when brushing it out. But if you’re gentle, use conditioner/hair masks, and give your hair breaks between big styles, you should be fine! Also try not to tease the same spots too aggressively every single day.
