The Beginning of The Era

The Chicago Panic

In the beginning there was Aiden Pierce. A hacker with ex-military combat. He was a grey hat hacker and was going against the criminals of Chicago.

This started when Aiden Pierce was driving in a car with his family and his their car was shot at, a bullet popped the wheel and the car crashed. Killing his niece, Nena Pearce. A year later he became a "vigilante" in the streets of Chicago. 

The Chicago Statum

During the Chicago Statum game there was a massive blackout that occurred. It was weird for a blackout to happen because the grid was highly secured...only a skilled hacker would take that down. When the blackout happened people say that Aiden Pearce slipped away like a fox to avoid being detected. 

The next day, news was already spread. It most likely happened overnight... This then started the "Hacked Chicago" Era. 

"Hacked Chicago" Era (1999-2014) ((Aiden Pearce was around in 2013. They brought things back from the 90s and 2000s and merged them that's why the span is 1999 - 2014)) 

This was named by a group of teens who grew an obsession with the vigilante, Aiden Pearce. They would wear mouth masks and long coats with hacker code stitched, drawn, or crafted on. This group of teens were once in a punk rock band that believed the Mayor of Chicago was corrupt and ctOS is destroying Chicago. As Aiden Pearce appeared more on TV as this activist/anarchist their friendgroup got bigger and they decided to give themselves a name "The Watch Dogs". They figured this was perfect as they saw themselves as the "watch dogs" of Aiden Pearce. They also wanted to do what Aiden Pearce does. Hack, take down criminals, and Hack. They came together and hired a hacker to give them access to hacking equipment but of course the hacker didn't't. So they took matters into their own hands. 

The teens grouped up and went after a small hacker group. Luckily for them only two goons were armed. The teens brought bats, knives, nail guns, and blunt objects. They knew if they were caught they were dead... So with that in mind they did they upmost to not make any noise. They shanked goons in the neck and back, some hid behind things and ambushed goons taking their guns before knocking them unconscious. Some would say these teens were crazy for doing such a thing... But they were driven by their beliefs and Aiden Pearce being their main source of influence and motivation. After the attack they quickly stole the hacker equipment and fled. 

They decided to have the equipment in the basement of one of their homes preferably a home that's away from the city but close enough to access everything. They already knew code language because of their love for old Internet.

After Aiden Pearce hacked the ctOS servers in the main city. The Watch Dogs also got access to the City as well. Aiden Pearce made a lot of noise doing that... With access to the cameras of chug and it's infrastructure they made sure the city was safe from danger or they would occasionally help Aiden Pearce. Of course they didn't know where he was but Aiden Pearce caused a lot of commotion and they easily knew where he was. Hell they would throw small events when they spot him.
