Chapter 2

I woke up this morning with a full belly, remembering the adventures of last night. I reminisce the taste of carrot cake sliding down my gullet. It was so delicious. I wipe the crust out of my eyeballs and feel ready to take on the day, now full of energy. I go into the main part of my burrow to see what the buns are upto, and I take in my first deep inhale of the day. "What is that smell?" I think to myself... YUCK!!! It is a sweet rotting smell. One of the buns mustve left a piece of food lying around and now I have to find it. I check behind the couch, nothing. I check under their beds, nothing... where is it? Maybe im imagining things? I put my paws over my eyes and shake my head to make sure im not going crazy. Except when I lower my paws I see something surreal... an entirely Chrome room, with sterile equipment lying on the metal table beside me. A bright light shines in my eyes now, almost blinding me. I go to raise my paws to cover my eyes again, and I feel the tight pull of wires on my arms. I squint my eyes to try and see where they are connected, when I see something impossible... my paws no longer have fur? all I can see is pale skin... "What is happening to me?" I think to myself... Before I can even begin to muster up an explanation, I hear a metal door creak open slowly....
