The government's ragebaiting me because i'm broke

I finished writing my novella last November/December. Most publishing houses take around a year to respond, so not all of them have gotten back to me yet, but I've already run into a lot of trouble because of my novella's short format. BUT ON TOP OF THAT, where I live A PRIVATE ORGANIZATION (yes, it’s not really the government, but it’s more fun to say that) taxes you when you publish a book with a publishing house. SO I CAN'T PUBLISH MY BOOK BECAUSE I'M A BROKE STUDENT AND THIS DIABOLICAL ORGANIZATION DEMANDING 1700 euros THAT I DON'T HAVE TO PUBLISH A SMALL 50 PAGE NOVELLA BUT HELPP THIS IS JUST RAGEBAIT

Publishing houses aren't fans of the idea of me posting my book online before getting it published, but at this point I think I'll write some more novellas and publish the whole thing as one big book. Too few publishing houses publish novellas, and maybe by then I'll have found a way to defraud  pay.

At least my baby has a nice spot on my bookshelf :D
