the job market sucks

I've recently finished college (only awaiting my graduation ceremony next thursday) which means I am now freshly unemployed and have since started applying to various job listings online. It's only been about a month so perhaps this is just major anxiety, but I already worry for my future.

For background, I finished with a bachelor's in English Language Studies and my ideal job is in publishing or any position related to writing. Looking at the job market now, it's flooded by AI. If it's not working for a company that pushes AI, it's directly working with AI. I've seen some jobs where you're supposed to train AI in creative fields, and seeing those made me want to set myself on fire. And it might just be because I'm new and confused, but it's like every company is vague and using doublespeak, I cannot understand what most of them are even about or what industry they're in. Then there's BPO which is like a safety net industry because of how large it is in the Philippines. I don't look down on this line of work, but I only see it as a means to an end, a last resort.

I don't want to be someone who's too stubborn to get a job they're mildly uninterested in, but I feel so torn. If I continue to hold out for a job I like in the industry I want to be in, I may be waiting for a while, but I would be happy and fulfilled. It's not like I need a big salary, but if I get a job, any job, as soon as I can, I could start earning money now and become somewhat self-sufficient. Is it pride to refuse to work a job I don't really want? Is it stupid to expect I could find a job I could be fulfilled in? I hope that in a few months, I could look back and realize I had no reason to worry so much.
