She watches all, night and day when we cannot see her. What would she think of us? Our greed, our humanity, our humility. She is friends with the earth, the soil, the tide. She would not appreciate the ignorance, the cruelty, the world. The moon provides stability, the tide, keeps the planet moving. Does she think we deserve it? The people who pass without a glance, who litter without a thought, who cry an ocean of tears to replace her own. Would she see those who look up in wonder, the children who believe she follows, or would she be distracted with the ugly reality? The reality that people do not care, that they do not see her and appreciate her work.
Would the lady in the moon have faith and one day let us join her in the sky? Or will we be forced to rot in the ground below while the planet turns slowly and the tide dries out.
