this is a copy paste of the ending of chapter 73, i will not explain anything..
On the hill
“I’ll just... Sit for a bit. Those shield spells drained me.” Elbolo muttered, wiping sweat from his brow.
“Alright. And this, what is this?” General Zakayev of the Kar Military pointed at the still-smoking missile trucks.
“I don’t know, sir... But I really don’t think it’s safe to go near them.” Wabash said uneasily. “It’s Demonic tech.”
“Nonsense! We’ve vanquished the fiends!”
“They could’ve rigged it with explosives, sir.”
“Hmph. Fine. Give me a shield.”
Wabash staggered forward and whispered a syllable of prayer. A pulse of blue light formed around the general, then she doubled over and vomited glowing bile onto the dirt.
Zakayev blinked. “...You, then.” He pointed at Elbolo.
“I’m out of mana, and I’m not about to puke like her.”
The general turned toward Xaviera. She sighed, muttering under her breath, and casted the laziest, weakest shield spell imaginable.
“There. Now check it out.” She said dryly.
“Good enough. You, nun, come with me.”
“E-eh?”
“Come along, now.”
Zakayev and Wabash stepped inside the truck.
“Hmm, comfortable.” Zakayev muttered, running his gloved hand along the console. “Now, what do these do?”
“Please, sir, don’t touc-”
He pressed a button.
The missile shifted into firing position with a mechanical groan. The straps were still on it: this one was meant to be launched last, only if the Kar refused to surrender.
A countdown began flashing on the console in Mesean. A red light pulsed over them like a heartbeat.
Wabash fumbled through her pockets, yanked out a dozen of mana potions, and started downing them one by one.
A voice echoed through the cabin.
In Mesean: “Imminet Emissionem.”
In Aulian: “Lancement Imminent.”
In Demonic: “Cur air bhog ri thighinn.”
“Damn the Gods, what do those voices mean?” Zakayev snapped.
Wabash ignored him and kept drinking, her face slick with sweat and mana residue.
“Nun, what is happening?” The general demanded.
TRES. The voice roared.
DUO.
“SPELL : ULTIMATE SHIELD!” Wabash screamed, thrusting her hands outward.
UNUS-
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
.
..
...
The missile’s explosion triggered the other eight. The magical elements in each of them, combined.
The Light of Elrath dropped on Qwequeda, this time, Demonic.
Everything within a mile was vaporized. The only survivors were Wabash, her shield barely surviving the explosion just behind her, and Elbolo, who survived purely by accident because he was in the basement of the house they were in originally, drinking a bottle of stolen wine.
Belle was hurled skyward by the shockwave. Inside, the crew (plus Watrae’n) instinctively combined their magic in sheer panic, forming a shimmering shield around themselves just before slamming into a wall.
Wabash opened the door, stumbled towards the house, and fell, unconscious
