the price of authenticity

one of the things i like about "indie web" sites like this one, neocities and perfectly imperfect is the fact that no one in my real life is on them to dissect what i post. the drawback im finding is that it's hard to talk about some of the stuff id like to without disclosing too many details about my personal life.

do i think i matter enough to dox? lol no. but having been terminally online for about 30 years has taught me a lot about anonymity. trying to find a balance between authenticity and privacy is a struggle, even on sites that aren't supposed to be part of the panopticon.

the eternal struggle of finding a good place to put the brain worms.

Yeah, you're pretty anonymous here which is a good thing so your personal identity isn't open to anyone.

But still be kind anyways and don't be awful.

i do my best!
