The Real High School Host Club

Since I've been getting into anime again, I just wanna talk about how after watching Ouran High School Host Club I tried to start a host club in my high school 😂

So I was 16, had just moved in with my dad and was going to a rich school for the first time in my life (which gave me such extreme culture shock I went into a deep depression lmao) and I was like this is so Haruhi heheheh and it gave me the idea to start my own host club. My friend and I were co-conspirators and I got the theatre teacher to agree to sponsor us and let us use the black box theatre as a club room. I told him it was a "Japanese culture appreciation club" and he immediately was like oh that's fun! And ofc I named it Japanese Culture Host Club or something like that 😂 

All we had to do was get 8 or 10 signatures of people to join the club and we'd be golden. So I started recruiting "hosts" boys from the school that I thought would be what the boys and girls of the school would come to see. The one I really wanted to get was a guy whose name was literally Valentine. Not Valentino, straight up Valentine. He was hot, he was built but not bulky, the only downside to him was that he exclusively talked about MMA. Every single day at school, this dude would wear one of like five different shirts that he had from the MMA gym that he went to. I had never seen him wear anything else. I still wanted to get him in, because he was a really nice guy and again he was very hot. So I started talking to him and I brought it up and I explained it to him and he agreed, and then he felt up my arms and he was like "you have noodle arms, you should come to my gym and I'll help you" so he was also trying to recruit me into MMA at the same time 😂😂 but I was like no thanks. 

I get all the signatures, all I have to do is turn it in to the vice principal and wait for the club to be accepted. So I turn it in to the secretary, and I wait. And I wait... And I wait. I was only there for one semester, so I can only assume they saw Host Club in the name, and the vice principal was one of very few people at the time who knew what a host club was and he immediately shut it down 😂
