the walking dead comic (spoilers kinda)

recently ive been reading uh the walking dead comics online cuz i got no money to but the physical copy of it but i will one day definitely. ive been loving it honestly. i mean it's people that are in an apocalypse with a whole bunch of zombies how can that not be interesting yk? there's an infection that caused it and we don't know why or how that even happened or where it even came from in the first place all we know is this virus is spreading and infecting people and they end up turning into zombies. if someone gets killed by a zombie or a person it wouldn't matter bc they are still infected the virus spread all throughout everyone's body and they will die and become one of them so that's really interesting. another thing too is seeing how the characters adapt to the zombie apocalypse over time and how much they changed over time bc their life that they had once lived is pretty much over. they can never go back to how they lived before that normal life and every person in the comics lost someone or something that was important to them which is so sad and then having to put them down when they turn? how do you even have the guts to do that? i know i wouldn't. hell if we're being realistic here i know i wouldn't survive long in a zombie apocalypse if im being so fr rn that world is deadly and brutal. not to mention the bandits or raiders around that are tryna get your food your water your supplies like damn man. not only are you fighting zombies but your fighting people too who want what you got or worse. don't even get me started on the cannibals bro like they are disgusting. im still reading the comics so please no spoilers but my favorite character as of rn is carl. i mean he literally grew up in the zombie apocalypse world with his dad r rick grimes and mother lori. he saw the world for how it was now and even though he was scared he still survived but he couldn't be a kid for long he had to grow up too fast as a child because he knew what they faced and he couldn't be that scared little boy anymore. carl went through so much as far as i know like he lost his mother, his newborn sister, he shot shane (rick's best friend) and killed him somebody shot him in his eye and he lost some of his memory but eventually got it back and took care of his father when he was sick. the apocalypse literally changed him. im curious to see what else his story has to tell. but man his dad rick grimes went through hell and back imagine being in a coma for months i think and you wake up not knowing what the fuck is even going on? you realize that there is dead people trying to go after you and that the world has literally come to an end or that your best friend told your family that your dead and decided to go hook up with your wife even though you were alive this whole time. you lose your wife and baby. lose lots of people in your group and everyone decides that you are the leader. lose your arm. that is a LOT. he didn't pick this role but everyone looked up to him to get them out of these hard decisions and such. rick had to take that role as a leader and help his people. build a new community and start fresh. that is a leader. anyways there's just so much i can say about the walking dead it is rlly amazing and ik there is a lot of other characters i didn't mention but i might in another blog so stay tuned for that who knows.
