good evening everyone...!! i've had some wonderful news today :3

my mom said i can have my best friend over for christmas eve this year!!! i've been wanting to invite her over for the holidays for YEARS, but i was never allowed until now. i was talking to her last night and she made a joke about potentially coming over and then she was like "wait i should actually come" so i mentioned it to my mom and she said it would be great!!! she said the more the merrier :] i'm even more excited for xmas now!!!
hehehe anyway!! earlier today i watched some defunctland with my brothers. if you don't know, defunctland is a youtube channel that makes these AWESOME documentaries, mostly about disney stuff. he's super super cool and i highly recommend checking him out!! he made this incredible two-part video about animatronics recently, it's really awesome
after that, i had to wash the dishes, which is my least favourite chore but it was better bc i was able to listen to music :3 i chose my u2 playlist for today's dishwashing endeavour! i love u2...(^ found this on my regular smiley website, isn't it amazing? lolz!!)

my parents got home from work in the middle of my dishwashing, which is unusual bc it was like two hours before they usually get home, but apparently the boss shut it all down early because it was TOO HOT outside x_x which is super valid bc we are in the middle of a heatwave at the moment... sighhhi certainly didn't mind them coming back early tho. their boss is kind of a terrible person, she's always making everyone work even when it's like 40 degrees (celsius) in the shade. and it's an outdoor job that requires a lot of hard physical work... my mom actually got hospitalized last year bc she couldn't catch her breath after doing a particularly hard job, and her boss never checked in with her or anything!! pisses me off...
anyways. i'm thinking of buying a petticoat or a hoop skirt for my dresses , specifically my prom dress because i wanna rewear it for other occasions but the skirt could use more volume. it isn't fluffy enough!

speaking of other occasions, my mom suggested i could wear it for christmas, which... would probably work, but unless i get invited to a royal holiday ball in the city where i can enjoy the finest of suppers and potentially find myself a lovely suitor, i don't think i'll have anywhere to wear it to, lolz!!
well, i'm sure i'll find someplace. i'd really love to just wear it around the house, it's really such a beautiful dress, but it needs to be hemmed and taken in first. hemmed because the skirt is so long that i was tripping over it when i was at prom, and taken in because my mother ordered the biggest size they had because she didn't trust the website (i'm not exactly what you'd call "skinny" haha) and now it's too big for me! we had to pin it with safety pins just so i could wear it to the dance... smash cut to me and my mom in a gas station bathroom repinning the dress after i tried to use the toilet and ended up snapping the pins out, eheh. this was me:
