I work at a daycare, and here’s a list of things the kids seems to do as soon I get overstimulated
- Pull down their pants and try to take their diapers off.
- Throw toy cars at their friends heads
- Climb up onto the shelf’s and stand on top of them.
- Go into the bathroom and fill toy pots with water
- Go into the bathroom and play with the toilet
- Cry because I won’t let them wash their hands for the 15th time
- Cry because they fell…after running around the room when I told them not to
- Scream…absolutely no reason at all either
- Bite each other
- Try to escape the classroom
- Eat the crayons I give them
- Tear up the books and cry when I put them in time out
- Push the tables apart
- Take the chairs and put them upside down
- Want to be picked up while I’m actively writing an accident or bite report
- Want to be picked up so they can play with the decorative ducks on the windowsill
- Lay under my feet in the bathroom when I’m doing diaper changes and then cry when I trip over them
- Demand I draw a heart on their hands. Then scream cry when I say ‘not right now’
- Take their shoes off and throw them across the room
- Pour the toys all over the floor
- Put the buckets in a line and then walk on it like a bridge
- Throw the buckets at their friends heads.
- Grab and or scratch me
I love these kids…but they just KNOW how to push my buttons
TTYL xoxo!!
Love, kitty🐾🎀💕
