there's this guy my age who i'm really intrested in

 we met about 3 years ago at a friend's birthday and we got along really well. After that evening i tried texting him but he seemed really distant and unintersted. i gave up.

 about a year later i join a sort of "band" that he was apart of. We hit it off and get along well again. We don't text or hang out outside of the band but both me and one of our band mates think that he sends me "signals" but i'm too shy to act on them

 anyway the other day he turned 18 so I texted him "happy birthday!!" and he didn't even bother to view the message or reply.

 my friends are really pissed at him for this and honestly i am too
