I'm aware I haven't done much more than general research, and this is more heated because I'm annoyed I've been hot since I woke up this morning (not to mention my sleep has been fractured because of said heat), but I'm growing concerned about two things. 1. This growing heat. 2. People disregard it, especially when it comes to people of color, often those in poorer countries. It's not news that many people don't care about issues until they affect them, nor that people are racist. Wow, how shocking. It's just disappointing. It's disappointing that our climate worsens each year. It's disappointing that each generation is saddled with more work and diminishing resources. It's disappointing that people don't care about people dying in India because these outrageous heatwaves aren't affecting them, blaming them for poor infrastructure. But when it's France, they're usually given empathy. Both sides deserve empathy, and neither is deserving of this suffering. India has architecture designed to handle extreme heat, not heatwaves of this caliber, because this isn't natural.Β
Being a Tennis fan felt cruel this French Open, and that hasn't changed with Wimbledon.
