tourettes/tics

about a year ago i developed tics, but they werent that bad so i just assumed they would go away pretty quick or wouldnt be an issue at all. however, a few months ago, they got very bad and i wasnt able to go even a minute without ticcing. theyve gotten a little better since then, but its still hard and embarrassing whenever im around family, esp my mom. she constantly stares at me no matter how hard i try to surpress it, and i wish she would just realize how hard it is for me. its not something i can just stop doing when were eating dinner, or having a conversation about literally anything. my dad has tics too, so i think thats where it came from. recently, my mom took me to a doctor to ask about it, but she just said we would have to wait and see and that it could be tourettes. im worried my mom wont take me back and ill have to live without knowing what it is thats causing me pain like this. school starts up in less than a month, fingers crossed i can handle it with these tics. anyways, thats about all i had to say.
