Heading to Calgary in a few days:P but we are driving there and expect it to take 12-14ish hours and my sister is making a playlist for the ride; any recommendations?
I listen to just about anything, my sisters real into R&B and country, or like popular 2000's music. Could just be your favourite song, trying to listen to new music:D
(also movie recs for when i'm not driving?? so far just downloading a few episodes of game of thrones, i don't usually watch stuff on the road but my sister told me it woulld probably be a good idea)

I figure if you're driving the open road, you want something that grooves a bit. You're sister's on the right track with some R&B, I'd say some rock and roll.
Not metal, punk, or any sub genre. Straight up rock and roll.
Off the top of my head:
Boston - their first album.
AC/DC (Bon Scott era, albums like Let There Be Rock, or Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap)
The James Gang (just put together a playlist, include songs like "Walk Away" and "Funk #49")
And OF COURSE Chuck Berry. Go with his album "Chuck Berry's On Top" (it's a best of)
Oh, some Little Richard would be good too.
