...forgot about posting yesterday, sorry about that folks! Yesterday was kind of hectic due to an incredibly silly (in retrospect) series of events involving a bunch of different people. Had to pretend I wasn't home for most of the day because people thought I was spending yesterday and today on holiday with my family (despite how much I despise going on any sort of vacation).
...final update on the bees: they're mostly gone now. I haven't seen any in a couple of days, and before that they were only popping up in isolated incidents, instead of like eight showing up in one location at once. I'm still completely clueless as to where they came from. Far as I know, there are no beehives close to my house at all. I would've known by now if there were.
...love it when I wake up and my desk is completely rearranged. Just love it. Absolutely love when my mom has yet another fit over my supposed uncleanliness and just has to rearrange entire rooms of the house. Hint, hint: my things are not yours. They don't belong to you at all. Don't touch my shit without asking me first. Makes me so mad.
...listening now: "The Nightfly" by Donald Fagen. What is there to say about this album that hasn't already been said? It's a direct evolution of the last two Steely Dan records, and yet it acts as a side-grade of sorts, trading the cynical character stories in for more focused jazz-pop. Of course, not like that's a bad thing, "I.G.Y.", the title track and "The Goodbye Look" are the work of a genius, and "Maxine" showcases a rare truly romantic side of Fagen's writing.
