I was having a perfectly ordinary experience on this platform. I primarily use my account to post about technology, and I don't usually share much personal content. My intention has always been to build a space where I can discuss programming, learn new things and eventually share my own projects.
Above all, I value logic, reasoning and the ability to have a discussion without turning every disagreement into a personal attack.
I'm 21 years old, and recently I gave some advice to a 15-year-old girl who had published a post complaining that adults don't understand her generation's humour, particularly the "six seven" trend and brainrot culture.
My response was quite straightforward: my generation experienced similar situations, and it's perfectly normal for younger people to develop their own jokes, references and cultural trends. I understand that. However, I also explained that what really matters in the long run is education, academic achievement and developing useful skills that will allow you to become an independent person. Humour has its place, but there are also situations where certain jokes might not be appropriate.
Her response was essentially that she writes stupid things because she's young, that I have no sense of humour, and that I shouldn't be writing such long paragraphs to her because I'm an adult woman supposedly trying to demonstrate how intelligent I am.
And this is where things became ridiculous.
She started using vulgar and derogatory language towards me, despite the fact that I had not addressed her in that manner. She didn't stop at one response or one post, either. She dedicated approximately six separate posts to discussing me, repeatedly making personal remarks and insults, including comments suggesting that all I do is watch TikTok.
At different points, she claimed that her posts weren't directed at me, then admitted that they were, and subsequently denied it again.
Yet somehow, despite this entire sequence of events, I am the person who ended up being banned.
Apparently, the problem is that an adult questioned a teenager's arguments.
I find this particularly concerning because I wasn't trying to attack her, ridicule her age or prevent her from enjoying her humour. I simply responded to a public discussion with my own perspective. When she complained that I didn't understand humour, I even adapted my responses by using memes and brainrot-related images.
I tried to engage with the topic she had introduced, in the manner she herself seemed to expect. Nevertheless, she continued targeting me.
What kind of moderation system allows someone to repeatedly publish posts about another user, insult them and provoke them, while the person receiving that treatment ends up losing their account?
Being 15 does not automatically make someone immune to criticism, nor does being 21 mean that someone must silently accept personal attacks. If minors are allowed to participate in public discussions alongside adults, there should be a consistent standard of conduct for everyone.
I don't believe that writing a long paragraph is harassment. I don't believe that offering someone advice about education is an insult. And I certainly don't believe that disagreeing with someone's interpretation of a meme justifies a campaign of personal posts against another user.
I was here to discuss technology, learn programming and develop projects. I wasn't here to spend my time arguing with teenagers or becoming the subject of someone's personal grievances.
I consider this ban unjustified, and I strongly suspect that the reporting system has been used to punish someone simply for disagreeing with the person making the report.
I hope the community can understand why this situation is so frustrating. I want to be able to participate in discussions, express my opinions and continue developing my technical interests without having my account taken away because someone else doesn't appreciate receiving a response they consider too intellectually demanding.
Disagreement is not harassment, and being offended by someone's ability to formulate an argument does not make that argument abusive.
Why Am I Being Held Responsible for Someone Else's Emotional Reactions?
There is another issue I want to address, because I find the underlying logic of this situation particularly unreasonable.
Why am I expected to take responsibility for another user's inability to manage their own emotions, especially when that responsibility is apparently not reciprocal?
This user has repeatedly spoken to me disrespectfully. I have not responded with the same kind of language. I initially offered her advice, then provided arguments when she wanted to debate, and eventually used memes when she complained that I had no sense of humour.
She disliked all three approaches.
When I offered an argument, she complained that an adult woman was intellectually outperforming her. When I used humour, she was still dissatisfied. When I wrote a longer explanation, she interpreted the length of my message as an attempt to demonstrate intellectual superiority.
So what exactly was I supposed to do?
I can write something entirely honest, reasonable and logically sound, and apparently still end up being reported simply because the other person finds it difficult to engage with the argument. If someone cannot read a paragraph of more than fifteen lines, what exactly am I supposed to be held responsible for? I cannot predict which perfectly ordinary response will trigger someone's personal insecurities.
I am not responsible for anticipating every emotional reaction another user might have, particularly when I have not insulted, threatened or harassed them.
What makes this even more frustrating is that this platform does not give me the option to filter out underage users as a category. I cannot simply choose to avoid these interactions. Yet I am apparently expected to accommodate every reaction, regardless of how unreasonable or unpredictable it becomes, while the other person faces no comparable accountability.
And this raises a broader question about the platform's moderation policies.
If you allow users under the age of 13, or teenagers in general, to participate in public spaces alongside adults, what happens when a minor humiliates, insults or repeatedly targets an adult? Does the adult automatically become responsible for tolerating that behaviour? Would the same standards apply in reverse? If an adult behaved towards a minor in exactly the same manner, would that also be dismissed as harmless immaturity?
Respect cannot be a one-way obligation.
I am perfectly capable of disagreeing with someone, discussing difficult subjects and interacting with people who have challenging personalities. I have no problem with disagreement itself. What I do have a problem with is a system in which someone can provoke another user, publish six separate posts about them, repeatedly make personal accusations, and then use their own emotional discomfort as justification for reporting the person they have been targeting.
A public discussion forum cannot function if every interaction is expected to consist of unconditional agreement.
People should be allowed to ask questions, challenge arguments and express disagreement without being treated as aggressors. Not every response needs to be validation. Not every discussion needs to end with everyone agreeing that the original poster was right.
Sometimes someone will disagree with you. Sometimes they will offer an argument you cannot answer. Sometimes they will tell you that your behaviour is immature. That is part of participating in a public community.
I would also like to explain why I find my suspension so disproportionate.
Imagine that I regularly visit a public park to play chess. I go there every day, play with different people and enjoy the activity. One day, a child approaches the public chess tables and starts a game with me. I play normally and win. The child then starts crying, shouting and throwing a tantrum because they cannot handle losing.
Would it be reasonable to ban me from entering the park because the child became upset after losing a game they willingly started?
Would I have committed some form of misconduct simply by playing chess and winning?
That is essentially how this situation feels to me. I was participating in a public discussion, responding to a topic another user had introduced. The fact that she disliked my arguments does not automatically mean I did something wrong.
I should not lose access to an entire community because another user cannot tolerate disagreement.
And what is particularly concerning is that this person has explicitly expressed that she does not want to be mature, does not want to take responsibility for her behaviour and does not believe she should have to tolerate arguments from adults. She has repeatedly complained that an adult woman should not be able to outperform her analytically.
Yet, instead of addressing the repeated personal posts and accusations, the platform has removed the adult who was simply encouraging her to study and develop useful skills.
I was here to play my own game of chess, so to speak. I was here to discuss technology, learn programming and develop my projects. I was not looking for personal confrontations.
I do not believe that adults should have to surrender their participation in public communities because some younger users are unwilling to accept disagreement.
If your platform allows different age groups to share the same public spaces, then the responsibility for maintaining a respectful environment must apply to everyone. It cannot mean that one person is allowed to provoke, insult and repeatedly target another, while the other person is expected to remain silent or risk losing their account.
Do I really have to pretend that consuming this content doesn’t affect a child?:::::::::::::::::

Wow this whole situation sucks, losing access to your account over this is even worse. Based on your pov it does seem like the reporting system was abused, and imo, it shouldn't have resulted in a ban. I hope you can have better interactions with others. There is a setting to remove posts from minors & another to block their friend requests, but I believe there isn't such a setting for the forums? Not sure about that though. :(
Either way i do think we should be able to interact & disagree with each other without that leading to getting banned as a whole (esp when blocking profiles is a thing).

First blog:
my response:
---full text in the original post
Context: She was constantly posting about me, writing: status: outraged
She started doing this right after my very first comment, and although she claimed it wasn't about me, she continued to make references to the entire conversation we’d had regarding maturity.
All of her blog posts have been dedicated to me, and my account has now been taken down as well. So she's not only harassing me for writing to her about maturity, but she's also openly admitting that she's not doing well herself.
She's turned me into her punching bag because I'm someone she can report, unlike her parents or teachers.
Because during the discussion, she wasn't really talking about the six-seven trend anymore. She was essentially telling me that she was having problems at home. So, apparently, I wasn't allowed to discuss six-seven with her, disagree with her arguments, or even respond normally, because she was already dealing with personal issues before our interaction began. There was simply nothing I could do.
She was projecting her feelings towards the adults in her personal life onto me, even though I hadn't actually said anything that would justify the hostility she directed at me.
Why am I supposed to run a daycare for children? In a place that's supposedly meant to uphold freedom of expression.
The thing is, I can start a discussion in a perfectly serious and respectful manner, but eventually become frustrated when someone keeps provoking me. Instead of continuing the original discussion, she kept making post after post about me personally. So when I finally reacted to her repeated claims that I had no sense of humour, and responded with memes, she got offended by that too.
At that point, it became clear that this wasn't really about the six-seven trend anymore. This user already had personal issues before interacting with me, and I shouldn't be held responsible for them. Her reactions were not necessarily caused by anything I said.
I would strongly suggest that this user seek professional psychological support, because the issues she appears to be bringing into these interactions are not my responsibility. She seems to be bringing personal problems from outside the platform into public discussions, to the point where she cannot tolerate a disagreement without turning it into a personal confrontation.
Just look at what she has written throughout the thread. She repeatedly contradicts herself, changes her position and keeps provoking me instead of engaging with the original topic. And I want to make something clear: being a teenager does not automatically mean being disrespectful. Adolescence is not an excuse for treating other people badly.
She was already accusing me of being derogatory from my very first response, which is where this entire situation began. In Spanish, the word denigrante carries a meaning close to humiliating or degrading someone. However, I did not insult, humiliate or degrade her in that initial message. I simply gave her advice about maturity and education.
After that, she continued targeting me. And when I eventually responded with memes after repeatedly being told that I had no sense of humour, she became offended by those too.
But this raises a legitimate question: why am I expected to tolerate someone repeatedly provoking me after I have initially approached them with a serious and respectful response? Why am I expected to absorb an endless stream of personal remarks without ever reacting?
I should be allowed to defend myself when someone repeatedly targets me. A disagreement should not become a situation where one person can provoke another indefinitely, only to portray themselves as the victim the moment they receive a response.

My comment was deleted !!!
There’s an entire thread where she was picking on me—which has since been deleted—and furthermore, when she started this post, she was already directing her blog content toward me. That’s the part that’s been edited out—the part where she admits she can’t read a long, detailed text without getting offended or feeling like she’s projecting. Since she projects herself onto my messages and gets offended, that means I’m perfectly entitled to send a meme that says "the divine projector."
I’ve had enough, too—why am I supposed to just sit here and be harassed by a 15-year-old girl?
What I wrote was this:
You don’t take me seriously? Fine—here are some memes;
"I cannot read" mask "so much text"
Is that not actually what he’s saying? That she can’t read because of her brainrot?
She hasn’t stopped accusing me—she even wrote entire blog posts about me, and she just kept at it. And now that I’ve finally had enough of her, she pulls the "oh, an adult can’t lecture me because I can’t handle reading that much" card. On top of that, she mocks me; she isn’t just saying "I feel bad"—she’s actively picking on me, sending messages clearly intended to provoke, and then, the moment she gets a response, she acts like everything is an affront to her.
Keep minors isolated
I’ve been banned for telling a minor that "brainrot" can be harmful and that they should study. The minor has been provoking me—dedicating their entire account to me—and while they’ve been free to mess with me as much as their damn well pleased, they can’t handle an actual argument.
What I find disgusting isn’t this girl—it’s the moderation. Who on earth came up with the idea that this young lady—the one from "six seven"—needs to be coddled and kept inside a bubble?
She can go after me and lie—and it’s obvious that she *has* been lying and manipulating the conversation about her age. (For the record, I couldn’t even see her age on her profile.) She keeps saying, "I’m a minor, I’m a minor, I’m a minor—don’t write to me, maturity is for old people!" She even acts surprised that I’d respond with an argument, despite the fact that she’s dedicated her entire account to insulting and denigrating me—an adult who was simply trying to offer some advice. But the moment she provokes someone and gets a meme back that she doesn’t like, suddenly the adult is the "bad guy."
It’s like being in a supermarket where kids throw tantrums like toddlers, knocking products off the shelves—and their parents don’t take responsibility, yet the kids are somehow "untouchable." Well, they should just get lost. The thing I can’t stand is an ill-mannered, insolent teenager who can’t even read properly—someone arrogant, with the comprehension level of a typical TikToker. Her arguments boil down to, "But you watch TikTok! You watch TikTok!" First, she claimed I was judging her solely based on TikTok; then, she turned around and said my memes were typical "TikToker" trash and that I was stupid. I mean, seriously? Am I supposed to feel responsible for "making her feel bad," as she claims? She boasts about knowing three languages, playing four instruments, and being the top of her class—yet it’s clear that "brainrot" has completely rotted her brain, her emotional and logical intelligence, her common sense, and both her affective and cognitive empathy. That was exactly my point in the original message: the problem with "brainrot" isn’t just that you consume it—it’s that it actually impairs your ability to read.
Do you know why I post those memes about the "divine projectionist"? It’s not because I want to pick on her; it’s because she needs to understand that if she provokes adults, she will trigger reactions—her behavior will have consequences. She shouldn’t grow up acting disrespectfully, only for every adult who tries to correct her or put a stop to her behavior to end up being the one who gets penalized. The fact is, she has been insulting and provoking others, and in return, she has received a reaction that mirrors her own actions.
Giving in to an ill-mannered child only serves to perpetuate such behavior; in effect, this kind of moderation rewards it. A child might be developmentally delayed—perhaps even unable to read—yet you end up punishing an adult for trying to teach him. It’s like a child who cries when faced with homework; that’s simply his attitude—whenever he encounters something that overwhelms him, he cries, and cries, and cries, expecting the world to intervene on his behalf.
Validating an ill-mannered child only serves to perpetuate such behavior; in effect, this type of moderation rewards it. A child might be developmentally delayed—perhaps unable to read—yet the system ends up punishing an adult for trying to teach them. It’s like a child who cries when faced with homework; it’s a recurring attitude—whenever they encounter something that challenges them, they cry and cry, expecting the world to intervene on their behalf.
When they enter adulthood, real life will hit them hard. If they haven’t learned to read a contract, that will be their own problem. There is no shortage of scammers out there; if someone only craves flattery, it’s only a matter of time before a predator—someone who specifically targets sensitive, vulnerable individuals lacking in discernment—comes along to sweet-talk them. Predators don’t just strike; they actively seek out people like this—those who lack any real sense of judgment and just want to be coddled with phrases like "poor little thing."
If they don’t learn these lessons at home, they will have to learn them the hard way out in the real world. We cannot punish the person who offers corrections or warnings; if we do, then no one will be there when a truly dangerous individual—someone with genuine malicious intent—comes along. There will be no one left to speak up and say, "Don't trust strangers," for fear of causing offense. Not everything that is offensive or uncomfortable is intended to cause harm; sometimes, things just need to be stated clearly.
When a child remains entirely trapped within their own little world, it can lead to situations like those that have occurred on platforms like Roblox. This is why adults have a responsibility to look after children—a duty that includes education. It’s not just about protection; it’s also about telling a child when they are behaving inappropriately. If he receives a negative response, it might make him cry—but it’s better that he cries for a day than gets used to the idea that insults come without consequences. The current moderation policy effectively allows insults and rudeness to go unpunished, while anyone who breaks this "poor little thing" dynamic ends up getting banned from the forum. And if 30-year-olds who act like 14-year-olds join in—will the moderators step in then? Don’t make me laugh.
