Update of my life 13/10/2026

So, I still don't know what you're supposed to write about in a blog, but this is MY page and I've decided to write about my life lately and if someone doesn't like it they can suck it up for all I care.

I'm a senior student and in my country there's this whole exam at the end of the year to decide whether you can go to Uni or not. So, like, yes, there's a little bit too much pressure to do well. And if you're taking science subjects like me, there's even more pressure because universities expect you not to do well, but rather to do excelent. And not only universities but your family and friends and people from economic and greek and history classes who you don't even know, they also contribute to that pressure because according to them, if you're taking science classes, you're a genius, they could never take physics, it's too difficult, but you chose to, so you must be as clever as Einstein. Which, yeah, the subjects are difficult, but I'm not passing because I'm a genius. I'm passing and aceing every test because I study every day and instead of going out with my friends, I cancel the plans just to be able to meet the deadlines. Because this whole "science students are better than the rest", at least in my school, has even reached my teachers. We have more asignments because we can do more things than other classes, they are more demanding because we're supposed to be the best of the school, etc. I'm not doing well because I'm very intelligent, I'm doing well because I'm not allowed to be do anything else without being a failure for everyone. So, yeah, these last 4 weeks have been... stressful to say the least.

Tomorrow I have a test, but do you know who's going to spend more hours studying maths? Not me, I can assure you.

Two weeks or so ago we had a local holiday taking place, so instead of two free days, we had one extra. What do people usually do when they have a whole free day to spend however they want? They meet their friends and have fun and do this and that and just enjoy. Was I able to spend it with my friends? Yeah, only that I had to double my workload the week after that. So what did I do when one week after we had another extra free day? Spend it with my friends? Well... I had to organise everything and wake up early to be able to do both my asignments and meet my friends. Then, a day before the weekend, a friend invited me to their birthday. I did not have that written down on my planning. But what was I going to say? No? I can't say no to a birthday, it's a special day, it happens once a year and if someone decides to celebrate it it means that it's important to them. But I didn't have a gift. So what did I do? I canceled a trip with my friends. It wasn't even a big deal, to be honest. It was just a half-day trip to a nearby city, and they didn't even care too much about that I wasn't going with them this time. By Friday, I had everything planned.

On Friday evening I met my cousin as I've already promised them, and we went out and had dinner. Then, my plan was studying a little bit after I arrived home. It was like 12am, so I obviously went to bed and didn't bother opening a book.

At Saturday, I woke up early, completed some assignments and practiced some exercises that we've done in class. After I had had lunch, I wanted to get some rest and regain energy. The problem? I had to find a gift for my friend. So right after lunch, I ran with my mom to the bus station to go to the mall. My mom is a big fan of shopping, and I'm the total opposite. I found a gift in the first 30 minutes, but she insisted in looking around for a little while and then we could leave. We ended up not leaving until 4 hours after we've had arrived. I was exhausted, so, again, I didn't even bother trying to open a book to study. I went directly to bed and slept for 12 hours. By then, I already knew I was starting to get sick.

At Sunday, I woke up when I could and then spent the whole day working on assignments and studying. I sat at my desk for around 12 hours straight. The good part is that I finished a good amount of my homework.

Monday morning arrived and with that the birthday party. But, oh, no! The birthday person had woken up sick! They were throwing up and had fever, so the birthday was cancelled. I spent the whole day also studying! What a wonderful weekend.

And then, the cherry on top, today I've woken up with a sore throat and with a fever! So, I haven't had fun in the past 3 days, tomorrow I have a math test without knowing how to sum correctly under pressure, and today I haven't even been able to comunicate and tell someone all of this because I can't speak louder than a whispering ant! I didn't even know I had a fever until my mom made me take my temperature to be sure about what pill I should take! I've been running up and down the school for 7 hours with a fever and spreading a virus!

Wow! I love my life lately! I seriously miss when I could procastinate, spend my afternoons reading and taking with people, do everything on Sunday night and still not be stressed. Now procastinate means doing things in the afternoon instead of in between lessons like Flash.
