My one goal was to become a youtuber since I was 6yrs old bc i grew up with a lot of youtubers like FGTEEV, laurenzside, yammy, ihascupquake, bijuu mike, gloom, dantdm, pewdiepie, pat and jen, itsfunneh, grian, mumbo jumbo. The thing that drove me was that no matter how the world would possibly call them weird they still have an entire community of other people like them. The main goal was exactly that. Then it went to vtubing after the surge in 2020.
Yet, suddenly I don't feel so sure. Maybe I want to be a vtuber but I don't want to be a vtuber? Maybe I want to be like itsfunneh and stay in touch with a character yet make both irl and vtuber content? The main reason why I'm questioning it is the community. Of course, the community I have so far is very sweet, however after giving it some thought the taboos in the vtubing space are so restricting compared to irl youtubers. I can't date or show my face because somehow it removes how they see me? Of course, I'd love to join an agency. It's not a matter of agency or the rules of a company i'd be okay with following it for my dream. It's just the fact i have to do it and how the public reacts to those kinds of things.

You know, it's up to you actually if you want to be a Content Creator showing your face or being a VTuber.
"I can't date or show my face because somehow it removes how they see me? "
That's your personal life and people on the internet has no say on what you want with your life.
It's your personal life and it's none of their business and your a person after all just like everybody else.
Whatever path you choose, I hope you'd be successful but somehow happy down the line.
And you seem new here on FriendRewind, welcome here and I hope you enjoy it here.
