waking up in florida

hiii to my 11 friends... i'm in floridaaaa... and im so so sleepy and also kinda hot since this airbnb has fat duvets. but i love duvets so i just cranked up the ceiling fan. the magical land of ceiling fans, huge drink cups, disgustingly casual racism in 2026 for some reason (haven't seen any but trust me its gonna happen), fake freedom because you cant get an X as your gender marker, and fattening food. there's two things i'm addicted to on that list and its not the cups or racism or fake freedom... but for whatever reason i'm actually craving fruits and veggies and usually order vegetarian options at restaurants unless its got fish or if i'm really hungry for something meaty.

but anyways im having a nice time. there's so many animals and plants i haven't seen in years or have never seen at all. and they're EVERYWHERE. two tiny frogs living in the damp bushes and chilling on the front window, tiny lizards crawling through dead leaves, a billion baby turtles swimming around in the creek, big bass and baby bass, and big falcons and hawks flying around. and a woodpecker mistaking a wooden power line pole for a tree. i have sooooo many pictures already and guess who hasn't gone through them all??? meee. also, the bug spray we have does not work at all so im sticking to the random bug repellent lotion i got in south africa last year. screw bug spray anyways.
