What do you believe?

Is it what you see?

Concrete and wires,

Leaves and light,

Clouds and life?

How does your unknown compare to mine?

Is it still? Is it quiet?

Does it embrace or hurt you?

Does it feel anything like this world does?

Figurines of saints, tablecloths, candles,

Prayers, blessings, herbs, stones, amulets,

Oils, offerings, talismans, runes...

All roots in the trees of our lives...

Who chose Who?

And why?

Thinking about spirituality again. I've been proofreading a novena to the Lord of Miracles of Lima & I've really enjoyed it. I wish that was the catholicism I was brought up with. Too many things have changed for me to ever return, but i still have enjoyed reading the prayers and the biblical texts used in the novena. The topics feel very punctual for this moment in my life.

Ultimately, I feel inspired & thankful that I get to explore different ways of believing and living. It's been healing to interact with the knowledge out there.
