What ruins a show: Inanimate insanity(SPOILERS)

What truly ruins a show? Could it be the decline in writing quality? Clear favoritism? Maybe removing every trait from a character. It seems one show has these problems.

In 2012 of April, a object show named Inanimate insanity started. It’s now known as one of THE object shows for going into deep topics. But does it still deserve the name of being a top 3 object show? 

In 2020. The year season 3 started. And if you watched the previous season, you’d know the two characters of Nickel and balloon have a clear rivalry, but by the end of the season they make up, usually this character arc is simple. But season 2 had made one thing clear, Nickel is a manipulative person. It’s barely brought up and seems to be seeped under the rug. Not only is this character arc sloppy. But it can also send a wrong message to people. That you should forgive people that changed, even if they had a mental impact on you an/or ones you love

After season 3 ended season 2 was started again. It went great overall. But fell flat within the final episode. Possibly the worst episode in the season.

Picking up from ii17 we see that II18 uses way to much plot armor for it’s characters. The egg aliens come, but leave at one threat (the same alien species with an army), Knife turns into a ghost which doesn’t make any sense to happen,. And an anti-climatic downfall of hyped up villain to finish off the shit show. It was nothing. Nothing interesting. But it can’t possibly get any worse right?

Season 4 rolled around, a new sight of how the characters are doing. But it gets so much wrong it feels like it’s not even the same show.

In the finale payjay (paper x OJ) became canon. Nothings wrong with canonizing a ship. But since it became canon the writers had wiped everything unquie about the two. Only making their characters about “I’m dating this guy!”

On top of that the show seems to favor Paper, OJ, Test Tube and Fan. Leaving other characters like Tissues, Cherries, Bomb, And Pickle without a chance to show how they are and who they are.

It’s hilarious how season 1 was written better than whatever season 4 is. It’s a shame seeing such a great show fall flat. 

There are many better shows that deserve more recognition than Inanimate insanity does. I hope the writers will be able to get a good idea of what inanimate insanity should be.
