i'm gonna make this post very general, but have you ever felt like your parents prioritize their happiness constantly over yours? i'm not saying they should sacrifice what makes them happy and live their lives solely for their kids AT ALL. this entry is about when they pretend not to see that you're deeply miserable. when they live perfectly content in their own little world and don't see that you don't fit in, or that you would do anything to get out.Â
i've been unhappy about a certain thing they do for the last 4 years and i feel like it's slowly killing me. and the worst part is that i've tried to tell them. i've expressed it in the best ways i could, but nothing worked out in the end and i just feel so frustrated and stuck sometimes. they refuse to accept that not everything goes the way they want. i didn't choose to be sad. i didn't choose to feel miserable. but i do, nonetheless. and they see, but do absolutely nothing about it.
i'm wasting my teenage years because they took it from me. and i don't know how to get out.
