All my boy friends(Not boyfriends, I do not have that kind of game) say the most stupid and rude things all the time and it is pissing me off. They think they're allowed to say the n-word because one of their friends is black and that makes it okey. I feel bad for him, because they are saying so racist things in front of his face and that boy really does not deserve friends like that. Not just that but they say things to me and then call me sensitive because they're being straight up rude and calling it a joke.Β
My best friend's boyfriend told me to my faces I hate all Vietnamese people(I'm half Vietnamese) with a straight face. I told him wtf and he said calm down it's a joke. Well guess what it wasn't funny. Like I'm already insecure about that part of myself. You do not need to make it worse buddy.Β
Not just that, but some guys in my class who are really weird and disgusting started ranking girls from different places in the world(like they could get any). Me and my friend were right next to them and were working, but we could still hear them. They started with French girls and called them boring, trust me they have never met a French girl in their life. Then they came to Vietnamese girls and right in front of me started hating on Vietnamese girls which was really disgusting. They talked about girls like they were products. It's so disgusting I want to puke.Β
It's become so normal to hate people, they forget that they're actually talking about real people. Like my best friend boyfriend also said he thought the ku klux klan were cool and had a lot of aura. Like WTF. How dare you talk like that about mass murders. What happened to those people is no joke. People got hanged because of their skin colour and those who killed them got away. And this guy knew that damn well and still chose to say it. Its so disgusting!

Same as it ever was, most guys are like that, especially in late middle/highschool, it's called being edgy.
They have black friends because they don't actually indiscriminantly hate people because they are black. (If they did they wouldn't have black friends at all.) They just don't like certain people who happen to be black and want to be allowed express that.
Just like how being a nazi on 4chan in the 2010's was the ironically cool/edgy thing because everyone would freak out over someone saying "heil hitler" and drawing a crappy swastika in MS paint in 15 seconds. Yet all those edgy kids who were self-described nazi's (Meaning Nationalist Socialists in German) saying heil hitler and posting their MS paint swasticas were actually the opposite of socialists in real life.
The internet is WAY more locked down and censored now, most ideas or different opinions just don't survive anymore because of how tight the autonomous control of information is now. That's why it feels like it's JUST the guys in your class. But in reality it's just a large fraction of that age group of guys in general. They'll grow out of it 99% of the time. π
