I've always been drawn to the darker side of things.
Heavy metal, horror, zombies, abandoned places, mythology, occult symbolism, fallen angels... Give me something strange, forbidden or slightly unsettling and there's a good chance I'll want to know more about it. 😅
But what fascinates me most isn't simply the darkness itself.
It's what's hidden inside it.
A symbol can mean something completely different depending on who drew it, when it was created and who later decided what it was supposed to represent. The same happens with mythology and religion. Characters that one tradition calls evil can appear very differently when you start digging through older texts and other interpretations.
That's probably how I eventually ended up reading about Lucifer, Lilith, the Watchers and especially Shemyazza.
Not because I wanted someone to tell me what to believe, but because I wanted to understand where these stories actually came from.
And once you start pulling that thread... it gets difficult to stop. 🤣
The same attraction probably explains why I love horror, apocalyptic stories and games like 7 Days to Die. There's something fascinating about worlds where the comfortable surface has disappeared and you're forced to look at what's underneath.
Maybe that's what darkness represents to me.
Not ignorance.
The unexplored.
And sometimes you have to walk into the dark before you can discover what's actually there.
