Why do I always play "maid" everytime there's group projects?

(Warning! This is a long ass rant. If someone also want to rant abt the same topic or to propose a solution I'm open to hear about it! Sorry for any grammar mistake or something like that, English is not my first language :[ )

I genuinely don't know how to stop being the "maid" everytime there's a group projects. I tried everything I can think off šŸ’”Ā

1. I tried to out right refuse to do other people works

Result: They don't gaf about their own work and because it's still a group projects I need to save their ahh last minute so my grade doesn't go plummetting alongside with theirs

2. I tried to guide them gently

Result: No one cares! Until it's one day beforehand and suddenly I'm supposed to be the one to tidy up their own responsibility that's "not that important" when they're hanging out with their friends when I'm the one doing EVERYTHING behind the scene. What irks me off more is that they already got lectured but I guess playing Roblox and checking in on steal a brainrot is more important than your schoolwork that your parents paid for!Ā

More on this part particularly is that we're currently doing a fundraising right? So of course we need to sell something. And so we sell some jellies and arts and craft stuff. You know who made all the jellies? Made all the layouts for the arts and craft? Bought the ingredients with personal money? ME. I did it, and all of these chuds when I simply asked "Can anyone please buy a can of evaporated milk?" No one responded!! They don't want to work their little feet up to the nearest convenience store to at least do something after not working at all!Ā

I'm genuinely confuse do they even ever think "hmm I think I'm not doing anything in my GROUP projects. I wonder if I can do SOMETHING to help my group".Ā

While they are asleep I'm still awake just so everyone got everything they want. The shittiest thing is one of my group members straight up ask "We really sell that?? Who made all that?" When I'm right next to him dozing off because maybe just maybe SOMEONE made it while you are dreaming "which billiard place I want to go next weekend."Ā

Like atp it's not even a group projects anymore smh.

3. Reporting to a teacher

Result: They only got lectured but they don't care. Of course they don't care! They're currently doing anything but doing their main responsibility as a student—which is already a blessing to be able to go to school at all and learn as a student.

And there's something worse.

They don't have any initiativeĀ

They don't have social skills

They don't have critical thinking skills

They don't know—apparently with the lack of respond I got—how to reply that stay relevant to the topic

They don't know how anything works

They don't want to know how anything worksĀ

And this is a collective group. I'm not talking strictly one or two person. There's GENUINELY a community of these people. And because I got good grades and work in the student council and actually gaf about school I'm supposed to babysit them??

Can teachers actually just make them pair up with each other? Because then they'll actually learn how to actually work in a group when no one—including themselves—don't gaf. And this has been tested at least 3 times before and it works like a charm! Pick the worst of the worst and pair them with also the worst of the worst and let's see which one comes up more responsible after seeing no one is there anymore to back them up.

And even if they are struggling, do you really think they are the ONLY person in the world that's currently struggling?
