I know this is a topic that everyone knows abt but it has been really bothering me the past few days. Why are people normalizing being jerks for no reason??
I know the world always had its lack of empathy but its really gotten worse.
for example I was on ome like the other to make new friends and it def was an experince.
Most of the people literally stopped just to stare and laugh at me before skipping me or they would make extremely rude disrespectful comments like straight up calling me ugly. And i found maybe like one or two nice people the whole time i was on there. (ik ppl on ome arent the nicest to begin with i js used that as an example)
And online isnt the only place where stuff like this happens either, it happens at schools, work, literally anywhere nowadays.
This is disgusting behaviour and I dont understand the appeal of putting some else down to make you feel better about yourself.
And also why is kindness considered being weak? At my old school everytime i just showed a kind gesture or if someone else showed a simple kind gesture they would get bullied for it or even excluded
Im not the best at explaining my thoughts but i hope you guys get where im coming from because the way people act is really disgusting and i wish people valued kindness more. It really does not take much effort to be kind to someone even if its the most simple gesture ever. Being rude and disrespectful doesnt make you cool and tough it makes you a horrible person and many people struggle everyday because of these kinds of people acting this way.
anyways thats all i had to say.

Aw... I'm sorry you had to go through that, friend... You don't deserve to be called ugly like that. With that being said, Omegle is probably not somewhere you want to be showing your face to in the first place. Not because of any fault of your own, just that it's probably safer to not be showing yourself on the internet like that.
And yeah, It's gotten worse. Partially because of monkey-bots, partially because people were lazily raised. Choices for being a jerk just don't follow you around on the internet like they would in real life, and people deflecting how they feel with callous manners is because they're insecure, I think.
It's sort of like when people think lashing out with anger is a solution to their vulnerabilities, they think being rude makes them less vulnerable. Alternatively, they could simply be jerks from the get-go.
Yeah i def regret going on there for sure and def wont be going on ther again. And completely agree with the points you made!!
