why is it so hard to find a quality rp?

for almost half of this year ive been trying to get back into rp but somehow ive only found ONE good discord server

at first i was set on writing in polish cuz i just feel more comfy writing in my native language (but for some reason it only applies to rp lmao. i have no problem writing fanfiction or chatting in english). most of the servers i find i end up leaving after 5 seconds cuz of stupid rules like:

- they only accept face claims of real life ppl - IM SORRY THIS IS SO STUPID!! AND LIMITING!! why cant i just use my own art?? how am i supposed to find a person that looks 1:1 like my ocs?? or even better, how am i supposed to find a person that looks 1:1 like me when i want to use one of my self insert ocs??

- weirdly strict rules for taking breaks. like youre only allowed a 1 week break that can be extended once for up to 3 weeks or some stupid shit like that. like its an rp, its supposed to be fun and i shouldnt feel like admins are constantly watching every day of my activity..

- saying that replies have to be at least x characters long. like im sorry but imaging admins inserting everyones replies into a character/word counter is so funny to me. and i shouldnt have to make my replies longer even though im running out of ideas just cuz the admins like it that way. i think that replies should just be written in a way that they can be read, understood and replied to

and even just looking at the servers i have so many.. i wouldnt call them problems cuz its just my personal preference but yeah: EVERY SERVER IS FANTASY THEMED. and its always just a basic concept like 'youre living in a fantasy world and x is happening', wow!!! but okay, lets see how are servers about schools in a fantasy setting.. oh theyre all based on harry potter 

so i thought, fine!, im gonna search for english servers, im sure theres gonna be more interesting ones!! well no. honestly i feel like its even harder cuz theres more boring servers to comb through when looking for a cool one

and lastly: i just get this vibe from most of the servers.. like i dont know how to put it but they all feel like theyre made from 99% basic ppl and i just know im not gonna find anything in common with them ://
