why is rain considered so sad?

When it rains people are always so miserable, "its wet out", "too cold", "so humid", "so muggy", so dark", but i see so much beauty in the rain. 

The cool drops when they hit your skin, the comfort and security it gives me, the sound of rain hitting the ground and roof (especially when its muffled).

 without rain you wouldn't have rainbows! 

puddles are awesome too! When i was little i loved puddles and mud, when it rained id put on togs (swimwear for anyone non aussie) and dance around. sure it gets cold and it can be dark, but i love the comfort in solitude with rain so i never understand why it gets so much disaproval.

 Also, we need rain, its a part of the water cycle, it returns water from the skies to the land and rivers. 

even lightning i don't quite understand the hate, i get it can be loud and destructive, but once you realise its safe and you will probably never be hit by it, its beautiful to watch, the natural light show and I find comfort in the rumbling from the distant horizon.

I love twirling in the rain, I love watching lightning, I love puddles, I love looking at rainbows, I will never lose this beautiful view on things, even if it's "weird" or childish, it brings me so much joy.
