Why Is Writing So Hard

    Alright, so, I'm spending some time filling in plot holes in my story today, right? It's not hard because I already have them filled on my notes. But, the chapters I need to add are the boring chapters. The filler between action or anticipation. 

    Yes, they're important chapters. Yes, world building, and character development are pivotal in writing. I DON'T WANNA!!!! I wanna write the fun shit!!!!!

    All I wanna do is write the fun bits, like the romance, the fighting, the ACTION. But, that's already written. I have this thing about writing that I'm not allowed to fuck with what's already written without writing something new that same day. Crazy rule, but it keeps me in line, I guess. Otherwise, I'll sit here and edit one chapter 3 ways from Sunday. 

    Forcing yourself to slow the fuck down and focus on making sure the reader is tracking what you are (that they understand what you do) can be sooo difficult to do. I know what I want to portray, where I want everything to go, and what exactly I want to happen. I just have to make it happen. IT'S NOT THAT SIIMMMPPLLLEUUHHH! Sometimes, it's just a matter of DOING it that's the issue. In my head, my first two books are finished. In my head, it's all done and I can work on book three. IT'S NOT THO!!!!

    Maybe it is simple, and I'm just being a little bitch baby about it.

    Since I'm here, I'm gonna tell you a bit about it unprofessionally because I just love it so down bad.

    OKOKOK ~ so, it follows three characters mainly. Rozia, Zachariah (Zachy), and Rein. The pov mainly flips between Rozia and Zachariah, but Rein has a few chapters of his own. Think love triangle turned redemption arch turned betrayal. Rozia and Rein are mages, creatures born of a Goddess' power that are able to manipulate different aspects of reality based off of their lineage. Zachariah is human. Just a dude fr. Well, I guess, not just a dude. He is the evil human King's nephew. That dude is bad news. Good thing he's dead off rip. 

    Anywhooo ~ Rein and Rozia are besties with benefits. Rein is a big burly guy, sassy, and overly sneaky. He's followed Rozia around like an over protective mut for a very long time. He hates messes of any kind. Rozia, on the other hand, is a chaotic little gremlin. She spends her days taking odd jobs both in human territory and mage territory, ranging from mercenary work to the finding of missing persons. Rozia, while smart, finds herself in all sorts of trouble all of the time, considering mages are actively hunted in human territory. Yeah, they aren't all hunky dory.

     This brings us to Zachariah. AKA the most prim and proper motherfucker you will ever come across. He's the kind of icy cold guy that you'd find in any story who refuses to break his "I always wear a suit and tie" façade. Zachariah, while honest, doesn't like dealing with big feelings. As a child, he was Rozia's bestest friend in the whole wide world until a bunch of traumatizing shit happens that is quite literally ALL HIS FAULT. (it's in the prologue hehehe)

    The story kicks off with the death of the evil king, Jabez. (boooo we hate that guy) Zachariah and his constituents need help finding out who done did it, and the only person he can think of is Rozia. He knows she hates his guts, but he is willing to go above and beyond to make sure that she isn't found out by the Court to be a mage. Rozia knows it's sketch as fuck, but she agrees for the sake of manipulation. She wants to see how much pull she could gain in favor of mages as a whole.
