WIP: When I go on Zillow, I make myself sad

The sticker says "Never Say Never!"
a reminder that you can point a finger at all of your life
And proclaim I will never *Insert Scenario Here*!
But then one day you find yourself living in a trailer
With a sticker on it that says
"Never Say Never!"
Because you took a stab at dark and self-reproachful humor:
A useless attempt at repackaging the pain.

But in reality it's not a home
It's a shackle
An albatross
It's just living proof of one more goal you set for yourself that you never lived up to
And as you're standing in front of your trailer
That you don't truly own
Pretending everything's okay
As you fix your flowers out front
The only thing that's running through your head is
"What other versions of me actually made it?"

In a parallel universe is there another version of you
That managed to live up to the Great Potential?
To live up to their goals?
To finally buckle down and harness every broken piece inside of you
And use that to craft the life you've always dreamed of?
--because scientifically speaking
there must be one--
Or multiple
Others of you
Some better
Some worse
But other ones of you
Not just surviving
Not just stringing together gray day after gray day in the hopes of a brief sparkle
But actually living a life worth living.

This is a work in progress, and the name may also change.

What can I say? Zillow and trailer parks make me depressed.
