Obviously, most jobs run background checks. We still think it's stupid for entry level jobs and jobs that aren't sensitive positions, but those are our humanist ideals that obviously go against modern society. We can live with that.
But in the last few years, this company, "First Advantage" has started making prospective employees fill out their own information for a background check. Since when has that been a thing? And because they are making people fill things out instead of just using ID numbers and SSN, like it's been FOREVER, there are so many false background reports that have kept people from getting the jobs they have applied for. And the best part is, these background checks obviously follow you.
These are fake criminal records, including fraud, sex crimes and identity theft.
People have had to go to court to get these charges dropped, even though they don't have any real records in real court systems.
It's all AI and people in different countries making fake records for people because they have similar names.
This is the start of culling the work force, especially entry level workers.
This is being required of people who already have jobs and positions at companies and they are being forced to be "re-screened" despite the fact they've had the job for 5 maybe even 10 years.
What happened to background checks that are supplied by your government information?
