So, for a couple of months, I've been working out with one of my friends. It's been more on-and-off with me because I've had SO MUCH going on this year. It's been almost a month since the last time I've stepped foot in a gym. However, this week i finally started going back regularly.
Not gonna lie, it's been helping a lot. I used to roll my eyes whenever someone would say something along the lines of "Wow! Going to the gym helps with my anxiety/depression/whatever!", but it actually does!!
i guess it's the knowledge that my body is getting stronger and performing better that makes me feel so great! That, and the routine and accountability of going with a friend also really helps!
If you're able, I highly recommend doing some kind of activity, even if it's just going outside and touching some grass!
