Yaoi is boring and it's annoying

The worst part about prefering yuri is that you can't just be. If you vocalize it you're performative, if you complain about it you're "starting discourse," and if you compare it to yaoi everyone involved loses braincells. The worst part is even if you're silent, you're still at a disadvantage because no one likes your ship simply because they're girls. And half of the people that say they like the ship don't *really* like it, they just say they do while focusing on yaoi to make it seem like they're less male-centered than they actually are. They'll passively agree there's a bias towards yaoi and might even make a tweet here or there, and go right back to their yaoi while people that CARE are forced to notice their ship be sparse in fandom content or downright insulted passively by the same people

Which is weird, considering yaoi is consistently boring. No like, really. I'm from the homestuck fandom, I've seen firsthand how every major yaoi ship has boatloads of fan art that rehashes the dynamic of PRESENT yuri ships for their fan art. I had to see people tweet "omg Dave strider as an alcoholic and john egbert loves him but is frustrated." BOOOOOOORIIIIIING. Your ship is so fucking snoozeworthy that you'd rather use Rose x Kanaya's entire dynamic (and have them be out of character) than just... engage with women? Really. Your yaoi is boring and any "dynamic" or "yearning" they have is probably done better by two women in your series you're purposefully ignoring.
