i am honestly so glad that i picked social work as my major. originally i was majoring in veterinary medicine but that didn’t work out due to my disabilities n shit (also had a very unpleasant internship experience that really taught me that i am not compatible with this field, which is unfortunate due to how much i love medicine and especially anything involving animals), and then i decided to switch to social work which was honestly what i was thinking of doing originally. so far, it’s been very much worth it! i’ve been learning so much insightful stuff and have been able to take really valuable classes about sociology and psychology. even though i’m not formally working in the field yet, i’m kinda looking forward to being able to properly pursue a career in social work. if possible, i’d love to pursue a master’s in the future, but that might be a struggle because of money unfortunately. i hate the fact that FAFSA grants don’t cover graduate degrees, especially because more people in the world have a bachelor’s than a master’s or phd.
