...the new Nathan Fielder documentary came out and everyone I know who's seen it has said it was great. 2026 seems to be a stacked year for cinema so far. Rarely is there a year where almost every major film release is an absolute winner, and here we are w/ Backrooms, Obsession, Primetime, Digger, Resident Evil and now You Can See Everything. I hope this marks the beginning of another "New Hollywood" era where directors are just allowed to do whatever the hell they please.
...I finished Vampire: Bloodlines...again. I find myself favouring longer, single-player games as I get older. Don't know why. Either way, on this go-around I was a Ventrue who allied with the Anarchs, primarily because I love the irony behind a blue-blood who's practically groomed from word go to be LaCroix's right-hand man deciding to jockey himself with his political rival. Additionally, I did a lot more of the side quests this time around; yes, including the one with the were-shark. Love how that just happens and is never mentioned again.
...now listening: "King for a Day...Fool for a Lifetime" by Faith No More. I always considered FNM to be the weakest of Mike Patton's bands, but I still think they're great. I just wish they were more willing to experiment in the vein of Mr. Bungle or Fantomas. "Ugly in the Morning" and "Cuckoo for Caca" are winners, and the soulful "Evidence" is very hard to get out of your head once you hear it for the first time.
