it keeps saying mine needs verification, but that only sends me to the settings page which doesn't have anything about artist profiles and verifying. and if its clearly not the account creation email, then what exactly is the way to verify an artist profile? it all feels weird...

I need to write a page for this so you're right to be curious! For artists I don't verify until there is at least one song uploaded. For artists there's two verifications to jump through, one is normal account verification email that everyone gets, and the other is to make sure the artist account doesn't have copyright content uploaded, so it's a manual verification that oversee. Sometimes it can take just a minute for me to get around to as well. I'll make documentation so it's more clear about the process for future artists. Also thanks for the forum bump!
