goth song recommendations for a baby bat?

Back to Music

i've been into the subculture for a long time but as a person who hyperfixates on the same music all the time trying out new music is hard for me but i decided to leave my comfort zone. i already enjoy sisters of mercy, london after midnight, siouxsie and the banshees, some bauhaus and other stuff but i want to get deeper into this genre so i'd appreciate some recommendations from more experienced goths!! my favorites from all of these were sisters of mercy and london after midnight if it helps

Skeletal family is amazing. I also love 45 Grave, Clan of Xymox, Killing Joke, and I will add others when I'm out of the dentist's chair LOLjaja

shock

alien sex fiend, nick cave and the bad seeds, depeche mode (black celebration specifically), the cramps, joy division, ministry's new wave album !! these aren't exclusively goth but a lot of ppl in the community like these bands

I second pretty much all the ones mentioned so far lol especially Killing Joke, Joy Division, and 45 Grave. For somethin a bit more weird and raw try some Skinny Puppy 🦇✌

-Mave 🎃✌️

Xmal Deutschland, Voodoo Church, Catholic Spit, Killing Joke ("Love Like Blood" is the best song of all time). I also like the "Garlands" album by Cocteau Twins, which isn't technically goth but has gothic influences

I think you should check out MADAME EDWARDA, theyre a really cool 80s japanese goth band, most of their stuff should be on youtube🫶 also the band Ér (another japanese band, this band is female fronted!!) I their singer reminds me a lot of Sioxsie in a way, but instrumentally it reminds me of PRIDE OF MIND (another japanese band, really cool darkwave band!!)

Oh, you should check out Rosetta Stone. Love the early albums, "Whispers" from Foundation Stones is what made me interested in them. Play Dead is an amazing band, too, especially the album Company of Justice. Both a bit monotonous, reminded me of early London After Midnight.
