@pinkradish456 I LOVED Cloverfield!!!! it was such a good movie
sci-fi, but I usually prefer thrillers....

i love found footage and slashers are good but i love apocalypse horror the most

@steph stabwound ε» (i promise) OMG me too it' s so good :D
I love horror. but i go towards more psychological horror.Β
SO in no order at all:
Forgotten (2017)
Fractured (2019)
Midnight (2021)
Any type of Michael myer movies, i love the scream franchise
Get out (2017)
Us (2017)
Thats all i can really think of rnΒ
@Petpeeve Ooh yay I'm adding these to my watchlist β¨
Cheesy goofy horror, 80s-90s Slashers, or psychological horror for me. Not into the whole thing where every horror film is some super gross awful disgusting barf movie. I really love found footage horror a lot too.
I guess i like slashers... honestly my peak is of various types though. from simple cruel gore fests to psychological roller coasters with tense atmosphere etc.Β
I think i just "love horror" period. found footage can be amazing for its own reasons too ofcourse, and have loved many.Β
But yeah from Fulci's zombie all the way to a tale of two sisters, all sorts of things do it for me, whether they are good are not is generally on their own merits individually.Β

@soupbeing Never heard of that lol, but that sounds interesting. I might search that up, one day.Β
Psychological/thriller, if a horror movie isn't trying to scare then it's not much of a horror movie for me.Β
Something like Martyrs or Threads.
Ghost for sure, like "The Shining" and "1408"
@SafeInSanity I watched 1408 with my family once !! πππ
I really love 'Terrifier':)Β
I also want to mention thriller movies as well, I really like 'The House That Jack Built' and 'Black Christmas' (1974)
- rosemary's baby
- the exorcist
- drag me to hell
- it follows
- the babadook
- many many others <33

@goat I'm planning to watch it follows tomorrow ! It looks like a great psychological horror movie β€οΈβ€οΈ
slashers are my favourite, i love the friday the 13th franchise
i also like horror films that are kinda like one location, one group being hunted, paranoia-type films. like the thing, the descent and alien but i don't know if there's a specific term for those kinds of films
I would say psychological ones. Something that sticks with you after the movies over and makes you think and question your own understanding of the world
