I loved Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton soooo much, definitely an all-time favourite! The Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy will forever be a favourite also as I grew up on it in my teens. A more recent favourite is All Woven With Ivy by Thea Hawthorne! I need to reread her book & novellas asap.
I also forgot to mention a new big favourite which is Interesting Facts About Space by Emily Austin!
